SEKEL is a representative and agent for a smart list of niche manufacturers whose capability in the industry is proven in the market place over many years of successful project engineering. Each of the manufacturers has unique skills or intellectual property in their area of expertise.

Wireless

Adding wireless to your product or looking for a complete telecare or telematics system?
Manufacturing Radio Frequency (RF) systems is not the easiest of tasks without specialist RF knowledge coupled with essential sophisticated test and production methods. We have standard RF Modules in the ISM bands of 432MHz, 868MHz and 2.4GHz including Class 1 receivers and compatible transmitters to meet new legislation for social alarms. Embedding a ZigBee, Bluetooth or GPRS module to communicate with simple serial AT command? Need to track valuable capital equipment or maybe vulnerable people or children? Real-Time Location Systems are now able to offer location accuracies of about 1 metre with extremely small form factors and excellent battery life.

Sensors

You may need to measure and communicate physical parameters such as CO and CO2 gases, pressure and relative humidity (RH). Environmental monitoring and control (HVAC) is another area impacted by new directives and legislation which requires specialist sensors. New technologies for interacting with humans are found in the capacitive touch sensors and even complete wipe clean PC keyboards for medical applications which include a wireless interface. Vending and ticket machines are good examples of vandal proof touch switches as well as interactive museum guides and touch screen kiosks. Motion Sensors are essential in security applications, detecting falling people or indicating when equipment is on the move.

Electro-Optics

That’s another name for electronic engineering with light! Many applications use light with visible or invisible wavelengths, Semiconductor laser modules or specialist LEDs (Visible, Infra Red or Ultra Violet) have many applications together with associated detectors and systems. UV LEDs are finding increased use in water purity and illumination systems. Laser modules can be provided with focussed or adjustable collimated beams, with line or cross-hair generators within the optical system. For mass production the focus can be factory set. The laser light can be modulated for specialist communication or sensor systems. Today the humble white LED is now a major factor in new industrial and domestic lighting products.

SEKEL is able to assist with or develop your next project in wireless, sensor or light design by its ability to access the appropriate successful engineering resources. We offer a partnership with leading industrial design and manufacturing companies, either in Europe or elsewhere.
